  2. Summary

Perhaps with their eyes closed they are Ander and Satine again, just two people dancing because they are in love. There is nobody watching who they do not want to watch. There is nobody watching at all, and they are two young people dancing in the rain, whispering their wedding vows to nobody but each other.
    - Work-Love Balance

“What does this tattoo mean?” asked Anakin, touching his finger to the swirls coiling up from Obi-Wan’s right wrist.

“My life. That’s my birth, but look,” he said, rolling his sleeves up, “It continues all the way up. There’s a Way to it, little one, and I go to Stewjon once a year or two years to get them done.”

“Wizard,” breathed the boy, blue eyes wide. “Can I get them?”

    Summary

Coffee Shop AU! Couldn't find any, so I decided to write it.

Given that it was barely after 7AM, the coffee place was deserted. The woman behind the counter was arranging pastries in front of her, and it took him a second to realize that she was addressing him and asking him what he wanted to order. The chalkboard sign was confusing. He wanted coffee, this he knew with a painful certainty, the child’s complaints against his shoulder only reinforcing that foregone conclusion.

Din has retired from the army after twenty years and decided to adopt an orphan. With no clear idea of what to do next, he goes back to the small town he left behind at 18. He is surprised to find out he has not been forgotten, and even more surprised to realize that the definition of home could very well be a small café.

    Summary

“Your name, kid,” he says, harsher than he intends.

The kid blinks and his eyes don’t open again, just letting out a breath. At first, Din thinks he’s unconscious again, but then his eyes peel open, even hazier than before as he stares at the ceiling. “Din,” he whispers. “Din… Djarin.”

The kid goes under and Din goes cold.

    ----

A child wearing red robes appears outside the ship, calling himself by Din's name. In the effort to care for him, Din's past won't be left alone.
