Barnes was Howard’s favorite next to Steve. Howard even bought Tony a Bucky bear, which was basically the only gift he had ever received from Howard on his birthday. Tony grew up hearing how quickly the amazing Sergeant Barnes mastered any gun or rifle Howard threw his way and how the good Sergeant gave commentaries on how to further improve them. Hell, those commentaries were Tony’s own Ten Commandments when he designed his own firearms.
Out of Howard’s favorites to compare Tony to, he was the one Tony actually liked because Barnes was just equipped with skill, charm and wit. He had neither Cap’s special serum nor his infallible morals. The comparison made Tony feel that maybe, if he were to play his cards right, like the Sergeant, he could be enough.

One fateful Saturday morning, Tony makes the choice to eat breakfast at his favorite cafe, surprisingly mundane in his MIT hoodie and harboring an insatiable need for a mug of black coffee.
Next thing he knows, he gets a face full of window glass and one Bucky Barnes, clad in heavy black body gear and armed with a devilishly sly smirk that has a 110% chance of being exactly Tony's type.
Bucky's completely charmed by Tony.
Steve's not far behind.
Tony's just trying to stay alive at this point.
To no one's surprise...
A continuation of Mine and Spock's dealings with the word 'mine' over the years.

It is a universally accepted truth that, should you have the misfortune to find yourself standing between a Vulcan and their bonded, you need to get the hell out of the way.
In a universe where adherents of Surak did not find pacifism logical, galactic society exists under the guidance and regulation of the Vulcan Protectorate. A rule-breaker by nature, Jim Kirk has been practically doomed from day one. Having escaped from the Elba II Clinical Rehabilitation Institute, he knows there is only one being who has ever been able to crack his encryptions or anticipate his moves.
As it turns out, Spock's reasons for pursuing him aren't what Jim assumed.
