Summary
The marriage was unexpected - most things in war were.
When Sylvanas Windrunner calls for a treaty, it is with Teldrassil in her grasp and her people dying of starvation and exposure. With the Alliance facing a similar fate, the two factions were fighting a war no one could win.
But with innocents dying in the streets and no end in sight, peace had become less of a concept and more of a necessity. So Jaina had made the sacrifice, and tied herself to Sylvanas Windrunner in a rather permanent fashion. The effects of Theramore still ravaged her body and soul, and with nothing left to lose, she returns to the goal she had clutched so tightly to her chest. Peace on Azeroth.
She just has to avoid killing her wife, first.

No, all her selfless heroism on the Broken Shore has earned her is more time in the spotlight that she never asked for, a position at the head of the interim Horde council in response to the Burning Legion's invasion and, worst of all, an indefinite two-way ticket to Stormwind where she will come up against her most fearsome adversary yet.
Okay, that might be a bit dramatic. But still. Jaina Proudmoore is hardly agreeable.

Summary
After inheriting her grandmother's house, Adora has to leave her dream teaching job and move to a new town. She manages to secure a teaching position at the local high school, but it is far from the perfect educational oasis she was used to. From day one she’s already questioning her life choices. Then she bumps into one of her new coworkers in the copy room, and she finds herself thinking, maybe this isn't such a mistake after all.
As the reigning Teacher of the Year, it's only right for Catra to help the new hire get adjusted to life at Eternia High School. It's not because she likes her or anything. After seven years in the classroom, she knows better than to get herself mixed up in faculty drama. Sure, she's cute or whatever, but Catra is a professional. It's not happening. Absolutely not.
