He knows Lan Zhan feels the same, he has to, but yet neither of them seems to be able to find the courage to confess. Perhaps it isn't meant to be. Perhaps this will be enough. Or perhaps, it unfolds exactly in the way it needs to in order for both of them to feel safe. Wei Ying smiles against Lan Zhan's shoulder and pulls away when he feels the man shift slightly. It’s a sign he needs space again. Even after all this time, it had been easy to learn to read Lan Zhan again.
