She could only watch on, horrorstruck, as this girl folded in on herself. With every twitch, she heard bones creaking and snapping, coming undone and re-knitting themselves into something else. Something monstrous. Her eyes bulged from their sockets, her ears grew and stretched and bled, and Rosalie almost wretched when her teeth began to fall from her mouth, replaced by incisors sharp as a blade.
The night went deathly still - every living thing in the forest frozen in terror - before Bella looked up at her with fury and fear, her yellow eyes glowing luminescent in the moonlight.
