Summary
Time travel. It shouldn’t be possible. Well, theoretically it could be… but actual, REAL time travel… It’s unbelievable.
---
“Ta!”
Derek spins around, startled by the sudden shout behind him. A man is standing there holding a long stick with a dangerous looking blade on the end. He’s young, twenty-something, and staring straight at Derek. Those eyes are piercing and aware. Derek gulps as he raises his hands in the air. He takes a steadying breath. “You can see me?”
---
Or: Derek time travels, meets a totally awesome guy (if Stiles does say so himself), keeps some secrets, and saves the world. -

Summary
Katara and Zuko were born onto opposite sides of a war-ravaged world. Survival in their crystal prison means relying on one another. Relying on one another means opening doors that were meant to stay locked. Once opened, the doors are hard to shut again.

Summary
The war is over, but there are still things left unsaid but one thing that is for certain is that Zuko wants Katara on the throne next to him. Of course, nothing is ever so simple. The Fire Nation is built on tradition and even though they have become more accepting a waterbender (and a bloodbender for those who know) will not be accepted. Katara must prove herself to be better than good enough in the eyes of the Fire Nation court, while also dealing with her morals after the war.
Whoever said peace was simple and easy was a goddamn liar.
Set after the war, sequel to Two Sides of the Sea.
(and that liar might be Aang)

Piandao remembered that Katara was much more than what most people saw of her. He spent one day training her before the comet, and one day was enough to tell him that the girl had a power beyond reckoning that most men would barely be able to comprehend.
“What do you want?”
Her eyes narrowed, and she held the dagger tight in her hand. “I want to be Firelady.”

Summary
Hakoda hugs them both before they go to sleep every night. He smells like jerky and lamp oil, and his big arms, trained for destruction, are so very gentle.
Katara wonders in the blackness of night what it means to be a soldier without a war.
She wonders if her father is lying awake, twenty feet away, asking himself the same questions.
---
After the war, it's not easy for Katara to just go back home and settle in where she left off, so she decides to use her time and effort in more productive ways. After all, there's a whole world out there just waiting for her.
(Alternatively: a fic about self-love, healing, and staging a coup, because in what world would these kids be able to sit back and put the adults back in charge?)
