It wasn’t uncommon for actors to introduce themselves after the curtain call. It was a tradition started in Ancient Greece that, much like the Olympics, still held an innate sense of value today. Joan had never given it much thought, apart from insisting on staying in the cinema until after the credits rolled and the introductions finished as a young girl, a habit which greatly frustrated her mother and entertained Oren, who’d secretly also wished to find a soulmate among the actors of his favourite spy films. When she turned sixteen and her words materialised on her forearm however, she stopped the silly little ritual, knowing the words of any actor’s introduction wouldn’t match up with her own.
