Summary
Harry hated Death's humor. Sure, there were occasional reincarnation cycles he might've been an animal, there were even some where he might've been a female. But he's never been a female animal whose communication skills are limited to that of his own species instead of human dialect. And god does Vic Hoskins ever shut up about using them as military killing machines. If only Owen would let them kill him.
Throw human intelligence and empathy in a raptor body and put them in beta position and suddenly everything goes to chaos.

Later that night, when he's finally at home, still fixated on the scent of want and lust, Will stands in his kitchen, seized with uncertainty and a relentless, persistent hunger.
He's so hungry. He wants to eat.
Will opens his freezer, pulls out a thick t-bone steak, thaws it, and eats it raw over his sink. It feels good on his teeth, an overwhelming pleasant ache as he tears into it, and when he's done, his mouth tastes copper-sweet and he chases the remains of it off his fingers, sucking them clean greedily.
