Summary
Pre-Schitt’s Creek canon-divergence.
Despite the disaster with Barbara Streisand’s vocal coach, Alexis is not quite ready to give up on her singing dreams. Unfortunately, once word gets out, all the other industry professionals suddenly find their diaries full up and in desperation, Johnny turns to the local music school – and its owner, Patrick Brewer – for help.
Meanwhile David Rose, disappointed at missing the cherry blossom season in Japan, and recovering from his latest romantic misfortune in New York, returns home to lie low for a few weeks.
They don’t get off to the best start, but soon David can’t deny there’s something about his sister’s vocal coach.

Summary
Patrick Brewer has split up with his fiance (again) and decided - to make sure that it sticks - he travelled half way around the world, so that he can figure out his sexuality without worrying about anyone's preconceived notions of who he is and who he should be. He lands a job at one of the most iconic beaches in the world, working as a life guard at the exclusive ocean pool club, Icebergs. All while fucking his way through half of Sydney.
David Rose, has decided to take some time off from his gallery, to support his boyfriend, Sebastien, while he travels to Sydney to shoot the secret headliner for the biggest Queer party down-under, Mardi Gras. When he notices an extremely thick set of thighs guarding the ocean pool from his hotel window, it inspires him to spend some time poolside and check out the man they belong to.

Summary
The highway stretched on, dark and open, still a few hours until daylight and even longer to New York.
Somewhere up ahead David could see a figure rising to its feet on the side of the road. As he got a little bit closer, the truck’s lights revealed a man standing next to a huge bag, thumb kicked out.
He didn’t know why he did it - David was no stranger to true crime documentaries, and even if this guy wasn’t a serial killer, he was at best a smelly vagrant that David shouldn’t choose to share a vehicle with.
But David was alone, and he was tired.

Patrick is just getting ready to leave when he spots him across the bar. The man has his head thrown back in laughter, the lines of his neck long and graceful. His smile is its own gas light, cutting through the smoke of the bar like sunshine off the Seine, a literal impossibility at this late hour. Patrick can’t hear his laugh over the music, but he doesn’t need to. He’s so busy watching, he doesn’t see the waitress drop another drink on the table until it’s too late, and she’s already moved on to serving the next table. Now that it’s here, he’s not going to turn it down.
