In your daydreams, Annie wears bubblegum lip gloss, and she laughs against your skin. Annie isn’t laughing now, and her breath is hot and tastes of vodka, and Abed and Troy are in the next room waging war between Yoshi and Princess Peach. You shouldn’t encourage her, like you shouldn’t stare at her mouth, like you shouldn’t let her lay her head on your chest when she’s had one drink too many, but you do anyway.

Basically just Britta angst because my girl deserved better. Sprinkling of Trobed and Annie & Britta. Nobody talks about how hurt Britta must have been after she and Troy broke up and that needs to change!! Kind of inspired by Begin Again by Taylor Swift, because Troy taught Britta love shouldn't break and burn (then he does it anyway).

Britta hadn’t needed to straighten her hair, or snap her horn-rimmed glasses in exchange for contact lenses; men just seemed—naturally—to want her. Watching her now, beneath the crisp fluorescents of the lady’s bathroom, Annie understands. It’s that mouth, she’s almost certain; that mouth, and those curls, and those stupid pleather jackets.
