For a moment he is not sure what happened or where he is, or even who he is, but once the vehicle screeches to a stop and the pain flares up in his abdomen he is suddenly back online. Stiles knows pain well at this point and it grounds him.

“What they force me to do is sacrilege,” Stiles countered, carefully observing Derek. “What you would do would be divine. You would keep me from being their plaything—taking a key player off the board in their pursuit of corruption.
