She carefully looked at her cell phone under the table while the conference focused on a subject outside of her current interest, to look for a message that perhaps had been lost during the day, or the entire week because of her work and the classes kept her busy much of the day. But once she unlocked the screen again, a great weight fell on the pit of her stomach, disillusioning her deeply.
Nothing.
No interesting audio log from Keith about his travels on some ally planet or Lance's meme that could make her smile. Either boys usually sent her something once a day.

Since Keith's Galra heritage was found, a though rift formed within the team. Lance thought of cheering Keith up in all possible ways, but to only fail in doing so. It was a until a game night Pidge - who we have a hidden relationship under the noses of everyone else - when he came up with a ridiculous idea.
''Lance,'' Pidge stopped his rambling, staring at him. Lance swallowed hard when those analytical eyes watched him closely. ''Did you think of telling Keith to join us?''
''Y-Yes?''
''But you don't want to fuck him.''

The reason she felt slightly annoyed was not because of Lance ignoring her reply, but it was him not being a ‘good observer’ – what he touted himself as. By Pidge’s calculations, they’re now nearing Christmas day. She thought that she should bring up a tradition with it, but with a twist added. It’s supposed to be that if two people were under a mistletoe, then a kiss on the lips should happen. That was her plan, except that she wanted her other lips to be kissed (and maybe something more). Her target? Only the boy from Cuba.

Lance couldn't believe the nerve of this guy. Blatantly flirting with Pidge in public, during an official diplomatic function! How dare he. And Pidge didn't even seem to notice - she just kept talking with him.
Lance was the one who knew Pidge inside and out. This tool had no idea.
