But it does lead to a hushed discussion on what kind of songs Yoongi is supposed to write. Yoongi honestly has no idea. Jimin, however, is quite convinced that Seokjin had brought Yoongi in so that he could write songs about Seokjin. No other bard in the world right now would write songs about the estranged crown prince in his favour when the lies about him betraying the kingdom still perpetrate public consciousness as truth, and “Seokjin-hyung is that special sort of egoistic to think of hiring a bard to write waxing lyrics about him if people aren't going to do it for him. He planned his own surprise birthday party once you know?”
Yoongi isn't surprised — about the birthday party thing that is. He actually isn't surprised about the solidifying possibility that he'd actually agreed to something he's way in over his head either. Not surprised, no. Mortified, maybe; stressed? Abso-fucking-lutely.

“Ho… Hoseok… my na- Ju-Jung Hoseok. Who— what…?”
On hindsight, maybe it wasn't the best idea to reveal your name to two lunatics who had fed you something from a blood bag at 11.54 pm in the middle of a quiet, isolated alleyway.
"Hoseok? Nice to meet you, Hoseok. I'm Kim Namjoon, and this is Kim Seokjin. Do you remember what happened to you?"
“I—”
“Seriously. Just tell him like I did you. It's like pulling off a band-aid, better fast than slow.”
A heavy sigh was Namjoon's response to Seokjin's interjection. "I think this is a bad idea, but alright. Hoseok, you nearly… well… you did die. I saved your life the only way I could. By turning you into a vampire."
On hindsight, maybe it was a really, really, really bad idea.
****One unfortunate near-death later, Hoseok finds out a few things: One, vampires are real. Two, they don't sparkle. Three, a war is brewing and he's landed in the middle of it.

“Actually,” Seokjin speaks up then, because it looks like Yoongi's friends are having a hard time believing him. “I think the most dramatic one was when we literally tried to migrate to escape each other, but our planes went down, and we both drifted to the same deserted island.”
Now even Taehyung looks incredulous. “You're kidding.”
“No. We ended up fucking just so we could hasten the process and go onto the next life. Because the mosquitos there? Worse than death.”
“Wait…” Jimin says slowly. “You mean you actually die?”

Jungkook points at the bee cutout like a question. Taehyung shakes his head. “That’s been there for an hour, Jungkookie. I mean, yes the bee is beautiful, but no - I’m talking about the guy.”
“Which guy?”
“The guy,” Taehyung emphasises, like Jungkook is thick. “The man. The Korean supermodel with the smile and the knees and delicious samples.”
“Hyung, again with the knees,” Jungkook groans. “I still don’t get how that’s a thing and I really don’t want to.” He tries to push him away, to no avail. Taehyung smushes his cheeks in his palms and gets really close.
“You say that now,” he says ominously. “But just you wait, Kookie. Just you wait.”
(or, Jungkook and Namjoon meet at the weekly farmer's market where Namjoon sells honey that he makes himself, and Jungkook has a crush the size of Pangea and also cries about bees a few times because they're important, damn it)
