Summary
He forces her to her knees, the sun clearly setting in the direction she is facing. The only light Clarke has managed to see in several hours threatens to blind her, even in the captivity of her hood. As it is removed, she is almost thankful to see the face of the one who has demanded she be brought all this way. Finally the Commander of Death will be allowed to embrace the death she so deserves. Now, without her hood, the setting sun is absolutely blinding. Clarke can only make out the silhouette of a throne and a small figure seated there. Mouth gagged and abrasions covering her face, she struggles to adjust to the brightness. She can just barely make out a female figure when she hears her voice. The voice that has haunted her day and night for months. Gentle with Omega undertones yet fully in command as her title would imply. Two words. Two words are all it takes to awaken Clarke’s inner alpha. All the rage she has been working on suppressing for all these months surges forward, just beneath the surface. She holds it back, just barely, because this can’t be true. Lexa cannot be standing in front of her. Lexa cannot have the audacity to speak to her. Not after everything. Not now.
Hello Clark.

Summary
"What a strange world we live in. Our genetics determine our future," Clarke sighed.
Jasper turned to face her. "But it doesn't have to be this way. Don't let your genetics determine your future. Just because we're Omegas doesn't mean we have to act submissive and let everyone boss us around."Clarke opened her mouth to protest, watching as Jasper's mouth curled into a soft smile.
"See, Clarke? You were about to argue, just like one of the Alpha Chancellors. Omegas aren't supposed to argue, but look at you. You're going to be a leader some day. I can feel it."

Summary
Carefully, Clarke managed an only slightly shaky 'C', seeing the color settle brightly against her pale skin, before the teacher was calling for the class to put away the coloring supplies and Clarke quickly hid her wrist and looked up guiltily. No one said anything, though, and Clarke shoved the markers in the bin before holding her wrist gently against her stomach.
She tried not to look at everyone else's wrists for the rest of the day. Tried not to see that no one had any green there. Not even the next day, or two days later, until finally she forgot to keep her wrist out of the water when she was washing and it faded away, just like the idea that her soulmate could be here somewhere.
Soulmates are rare. Even more so now that ink is being rationed on the Ark and permanent identifying tattoos are no longer allowed. Distance has never been an obstacle before, though. Not even between the ground and the sky.
