Phichit clears his throat. "You, ah, might want to wear your scarf again." He taps meaningfully at his own collarbone.
Victor touches the indicated spot on his neck. The skin is markedly sensitive. He presses down, unable to help himself, and the sweet little ache summons a sense-memory: strong fingers carding through his hair, then digging into his shoulder, powerful thighs like a vice around his hips, his name gasped into his ear before a hot mouth seals over the skin of his neck.
The day after the Cup of China.
The last thing Yuuri expects to hear during Victor’s short program press conference at Skate America is his own name.
“Victor, can you tell us what inspired your program?”
Victor grins, Cheshire cat feasting on the coal mine canary before it ever had a chance to sing. “Not a what. A who.” Victor turns away from the reporter to stare directly into the camera. “I haven’t forgotten our dance, Yuuri Katsuki." And then he winks, “I’ll see you soon.”
Phichit turns to him and says, “I think this might be Victor Nikiforov’s version of asking you out on a date.”
While Yuuri is heading to the Sochi Grand Prix banquet, he finds himself sharing an awkward elevator ride with Victor Nikiforov himself. But when the elevator stalls, things between them change, perhaps for the better...
"Let's see what's going on for now and talk later. I'm not sure if we really are in the past," Yuuri typed.
"Either that or we are dreaming the same thing," Victor replied.
"Hey, that was a genuine suggestion, zolotse. I'm offended.
I loved your snarky 'ha ha', though. Keep going."
In which Yuuri wakes up in the past, Victor has no chill and still is extra af despite being (supposedly) mentally older, and no one is prepared to what's coming from the... couple? Wait, what.
