Albus Severus Potter was a squib. He always was the middle child, the slip-into-the-background child, and this just confirmed it. Or at least, it should have done.
Because being sent into the muggle world for his own well-being, of course in true Potter fashion, was going to blow up in his face. There are monsters out for blood and a bunch of kids who need protecting from them, and it looks like Albus is the only man for the job. As the danger grows slowly out of anyone's control, more of Albus' loved ones get drawn into it.
It's going to be okay though. The world may be turning upside down, but for the first time in his life, Albus Potter feels right side up.

The meeting that changes Izuku’s life doesn’t happen under a bridge or on a roof. There is no villain bursting through the sewers, no hero to jump in last minute and save him.
It happens in a library, when Izuku is just barely six years old.
(Or: Ed raises a hero alchemist, and that hero alchemist raises hell.)

Two years after Tom Riddle's diary comes into his possession, Dumbledore is almost certain that it is a horcrux. All he needs is independent confirmation - which is, unfortunately, very difficult to find when dealing with such advanced magic. Luckily, Edward Elric is a genius, an alchemist, and especially, a specialist in human transmutation.
His job becomes a lot harder when his automail gives out three steps into Hogwarts' wards.
Narcissa's sixth year at Hogwarts. Features demons, drama, and maybe (definitely) murder.
Slow updates, and also currently under revision! (Progress: 4/15). This will make a lot more sense if you've read the first two works, but you don't have to if you assume Lucius went to Durmstrang and is also a disaster.
- Part 3 of salt lines and white lies
Blaise wakes up to the sound of urgent knocking on the door of his flat. He fully expects it to be an Auror, come to inform him of—and question him about—the death of his most recent stepfather, so he takes his time pulling on a pair of silk boxers and locating his slippers and robe. By the time he answers the door, holding an unlit Muggle cigarette for dramatic effect, the knocking has reached almost deafening levels.
Or, Blaise didn't see any of this coming. It works out anyway.
