Given that the hour was late, the fire cooled to embers, and all the servants tucked away in their beds, Hubert allowed himself some degree of liberty. He leaned his weight against Claude's desk, sighing under his breath. "Out with it," he said simply. "This prevarication ill suits you."
Claude dragged his eyes with some apparent reluctance to Hubert's. "I want you to hit me in the face."
Struggling with the burden of leadership, Claude asks Hubert to deliver him some release, as only he can.

Summary
Hubert is there, bent over one of the desks, both hands resting upon the cracked leather surface. He's removed his jacket, down to his shirtsleeves. There's no sign of another, yet this scent is one that Ferdinand knows well, as it's the scent of Hubert's annoyance, the way he always smells after they've gotten into a particularly virulent argument.
When Ferdinand stumbles across Hubert in the throes of his heat, it seems only polite to offer a hand.
