    (Waited long enough that I could never call you
    Baby, how fucked is that?)

    They're just two guys. Two guys who really love each other, and hate each other, and who now have to navigate having a baby, while together and apart.

    (And it's all just so forgettable
    Till I'm sitting with your stuff alone
    Man, why can't I just let it go?)

    The necklace breaks him out of the memory: Why are you here?, it asks. He is startled - he hadn’t expected the artefacts here to speak to him directly. “I’m here for you,” he replies, “to look at you and remember you and love you.” You don’t love me, the necklace replies, and Harry protests. You’re a communist and you think I’m fundamentally a distasteful relic from an exploitative colonial regime. She loved me, and you’re here because you still love her.

    Off-duty, Kim takes Harry for an afternoon at the museum. Harry searches for part of himself.

    PERCEPTION (SIGHT) [Challenging: Success] - That must be it, the bird, perched on the loose gutter of the tenement across the street and one down. It’s no bigger than your hand, with a black speckled body and a pointed yellow beak. Like a child’s drawing of a bird. The platonic ideal of birddom.

    HAND-EYE COORDINATION [Medium: Success] - It isn’t the best angle, but from this distance you could still hit it through the eye.

    LOGIC [Easy: Success] - Why the fuck would you do that?

    Summary

    As soon as Aubrey Thyme, psychotherapist, had opened her office door and seen her new client, Anthony J. Crowley, sitting in her waiting area, she was observing and assessing him. At first glance, she paid attention to the following:

    --His clothing was expensive and stylish;
    --He wore very strange but noticeable cologne;
    --His relationship to the seat he occupied could only, very loosely, be described as “sitting;”
    --He looked angry;
    --He was wearing sunglasses.

    What Aubrey Thyme, a professional, thought, upon first seeing her new client was: you’re going to be a fun one, aren’t you?

    Summary

    Scout shook his head, and laughed around a small whisper, “How would you know how a child acts, Spy?”

    If there was a melancholic look in his eye, Spy did not seem to remark on it. Rather, the man did not even need to prepare a response. Spared no expense of thought, as if the reply were immediate, automatic in the shifting of his head’s gears. When he spoke, a wistful impassivity entered Spy’s features.

    It was eerily similar to Scout’s own.

    Spy said along a tired sigh, “I knew one.”

    In the weeks leading up to Scout's death, he had been haunted by a ghost. It came in the shape of scattered memories, lilting dreams, misplaced figures—

    And the Spy. Always, the Spy.
