Politics is everything Jamie wants out of life. The law is in her blood and rhetoric is imprinted on her soul. It is a challenge and a game in one package. She smiles at senators with her blood red lips and dark nails. She twirls her hair to disarm and speaks to eviscerate.
Jamie Lyman succeeds thorough sheer force of will. She softly states her opinions when asked and shouts them when she’s not. She forces the world to take notice and dares it not to.
A look at a world where Joshua is born Jasmine.
A Lance Character Study in fifteen pieces:
You may die out here without ever seeing your family again. Accept this fact and move on, there are more important things you need to focus on.
Remember your family. Ohana means family and family means no one gets left behind or forgotten. Except you left them, you left them with no way of knowing that you’re alive. As for forgetting … there are nights where you wake up in cold sweat realizing that you can’t remember your Grandma’s voice or the exact scent of your mother’s favorite perfume On these nights you sit for hours mouthing stories about each of your family members in Spanish. Even if you’ve forgotten their faces you cannot let yourself forget their stories or the language that you share.

A Leonard Snart-centric character study in fifteen pieces:
- Teach your sister everything you can. Teach her how to tie her shoes and braid her hair, teach her how to tell a forgery from a masterpiece. Teach her the words plausible deniability. But most importantly teach her what love feels like.
- Trust Mick Rory (but only as far as you can throw him). Mick Rory stood up for you once for no fathomable reason and he's been standing up for you ever since. Not that you haven't done the same for him.
(As it turns out, you can throw Mick Rory pretty far. Out of the city, out of your jobs, out of your life (even out of the time stream but that will come later))

An early season 2 Grant Ward centric character study in fifteen pieces:
"7. Learn as many languages as you can. Speech is power, don't let them silence you. Never be silent again.
12. Become a chameleon. Learn to blend in everywhere you go. Learn to be the American, the Canadian, the man from everywhere. Become the serious man, the drunken man, the fool. Learn to become everything and everyone then use these roles interchangeably. (Do not become the love struck idiot. It will get you killed)"

A Leia-centric character study in fifteen pieces:
"9. Allow yourself to believe, if only for a few moments, that the empire never existed and no group rose to take its place. Imagine yourself with Luke on Alderaan (Not with Vader. Never with Vader. He will never be your father especially not in your fantasy). Han will be there too. The reluctant king to your warrior queen (not that there will be need for a warrior queen. Even in peace you cannot imagine yourself without the strength that has defined your life). There will be peace and laughter and Ben, your sweet Ben.
10. Do not let these fantasy's consume you. Wishes are nice but you have a war to fight."

A series of unconnected one-shots in the style of "15 ways to stay alive" by Daphne Gottlieb. Introspective works centered around a single character.
"We’re on Deck 2, starboard side, about uhh, four? cabins in from the water. What is this plan of yours?”
“Mac, do you trust me?”
“Good. Because there’s a helicopter on the roof of that ship and I’m going to teach you how to fly it.”
A hundred miles apart, lost in the Pacific Ocean, Mac's only chance of getting Riley home safe is his partner's voice over the radio.
Some days it wasn’t so bad - there were a handful of other newish recruits who were at around the same level of training as her and she generally had a good time working through her sets with them to guide her, and guiding them in turn. Other days, it was rough; training with Thornton had been a minefield of expectations, admiration, and pressure, and training with Jack always left her aching and sore. She always walked away knowing something new, without fail, but she still wouldn’t call it a highlight of her working life.
Training with Mac though, that was something altogether different.

Bozer and Riley knew, logically, that Mac and Jack would share some bad memories. They weren't expecting to stumble across one while they were busy planning some R&R over the Pacific Ocean.
“Jack? What-” Mac blinked a few times, trying to clear his vision even as he automatically relaxed into his partner’s hold, trusting him to keep him up while he struggled his way back to the surface.
“Pretty sure you’re going on about 72 hours without sleep and you’ve had, what? Three? Separate traumatic situations in that time? Not much of a surprise you’re about to crash hard.”

He’s nine again– nine and new and knows so many things now so rather than try to go back–
He thinks he has the chance to make things right.
The bright blue trainers he puts on are a pair he hasn’t worn in forever, something he never thought about after he grew out of them (will grow out of?) a year from now, and sets off into the night and into the rain.
The plan he has in his brain is not really a plan, moreso just a couple of half thrown ideas and maybe five steps into building back the life he had in the most painless way he could.
Maybe, he thinks, maybe this plan can start off with the family he misses– because he’s sixty and most of them too injured or too old or too dead–
Call him selfish but he misses them. He would rather find them than get himself back into that lonely existence he called a life before he woke up at nine.
Dick makes do because that’s all he can do really.
Dick gets sent back in time, but don't worry, he's got this. (Probably)
