    The four seasons of Patience Mounts life leading to her joining Nonnatus. It’s all split into sections and changes. Clearly the civilian camp in chapter one is just a mess of sadness, death and whatnot. Turns out death camps aren’t full of laughs when you write about it (who knew?).

    Includes in no particular order; stupid lesbian syndrome, gay panic, horrific childhood trauma, intense pathological practicality, PE lessons, instructions on how to make a bed, posh lesbians, sexy Jews, an American who isn’t French or Australian even when she wants to be, letters across the globe, absent fathers, that first love that pops up in your head when you don’t want her to, the birth of plaid, a love hate relationship with rice, finishing school, scary training matrons because I love them, unrestrained use of the term heaving breasts because it’s my story and I want to.

    Also trigger warning are in place; people die a lot in the first chapter and general gore because it’s cathartic to be melodramatic.
