Both worlds valued science and rational thought, but Kryptonians used their gifts for bettering the universe while their opposition used it for conquest. While Kryptonians worshiped Rao, the God of the Sun, their opposition worshiped Omota, the Goddess of Light and the Moon. While Kryptonians hailed from Krypton, their opposition hailed from Hala.
The two civilizations held on to their tentative peace until a tyrannical race caused a war that wiped out the civilization that could withstand the might of Krypton. Save for a handful of us."
