Kim Namjoon was dead.
Well, he wasn’t but apparently Fox news had other plans for him.
He cleared his throat again, hoping that this time around he wouldn’t sound like he hadn’t had a cup of water in decades, “It’s me. I’m-um-I’m not dead.”
Silence once again, but this time it wasn’t empty. This time it was thoughtful and cautious and Namjoon wondered if he should throw himself out a window.
“But-” Seokjin’s voice sounded smaller now, “-the news said-”
“Yeah, the news was wrong. I don’t know how they got that information but um...i’m not dead.”
“You didn’t drive yourself to death?” Seokjin squeaked.
“I don’t have a driver's license.”
(in which rapper RM is rumored to be dead when he's not, leading to him receiving a message from an old friend.)
Namjoon knew something was wrong. He knew from the red panels on the ceiling that started to light up, and he could tell by the sirens erupting from all the speakers at the station seconds before every adult in the room when into a haze of what Namjoon assumed was the grown-up version of utter panic. And he’d been in the middle of it all; A tiny pebble in a sea of complete disorder and havoc.
Hoseok shook his head, “You read the newspaper?” He asked incredulously, eyeing Hyun Bin skeptically.
“Uh-Uh, but I saw the pictures when my dad was reading it a week ago. People are going missing Seok. Two girls and a man a few days ago too. Happens at night is what my dad told my mom. Nobody knows who’s doing it and no one’s found any bodies yet. They even stationed guards around but they keep going missing too.”
(in which it's seven boys against what seems like the universe)
(Bear with me I'm going to change this summary soon)
(This is a sequel to "Never Speak To A Thief" and I genuinely doubt you'll enjoy it as much if you read it as a stand alone but you know...your choice!)
“You’re doing that thing again Hyung.” Namjoon muttered, eyes not leaving the page he was working on.
“What thing?” Seokjin asked innocently.
Namjoon sighed, bringing his index finger up to push his glasses further up his nose, before looking directly at Seokjin “The staring thing.”
“What staring thing?” He responded innocently, biting back a grin.
Namjoon finally looked up and set down his pen on the grass, all exasperated, “You’re not even trying to hide it!” He exclaimed, looking pointedly at Jin, who stared back unashamed.
Jin threw his head back in exasperation, and he heard Namjoon’s chuckle as he groaned dramatically, “But I LIKE staring at you.”
AKA: Prince Seokjin and ex-felon Namjoon just kinda want to be , but the world just KEEPS getting in their way. And Yoongi is really just done with everyone.
- Part 2 of The Never Series
Namjoon was a thief. A thief that got caught two in every six times he stole. In conclusion, Namjoon was not a very good thief.
Thus, he got put in the dungeon a lot. A little too often, all the guards knew his name and some would even start friendly conversations with him. (Namjoon couldn’t tell if that was a good or bad thing). Namjoon didn’t hate the dungeon though, in fact his recent visits have been pleasant.
Why did Namjoon find being detained in a cell made of stone (which became explicitly freezing during the night time, Joon might add ) pleasant? It was because the cell had a window.
Now, the window wasn’t special. Not even close to special, it was just a rectangular hole in the wall with bars to prevent Namjoon from sliding through. But the man on the other side of the window who talked to him every time he was on lockdown?
Now, HE was special.
Because everyone needs some Namjin in their life.

“No one will want a broken cat Namjoon.” His boss said with a shake of her head. She crossed her arms and leaned against the counter.
“I do.” He said simply. And it was the truth because if his sister wasn’t allergic to cats, he would take the little feline home right away. His boss didn’t say it but the words ‘well, you’re pretty fucking weird Namjoon’ hung in the air between them. And Namjoon wholeheartedly agreed.
“Namjoon, if this little guy doesn’t get adopted soon enough-”
“I’ll make sure he does.” He insisted, holding the kitten closer to his chest, “I promise.” And promises never meant much to Namjoon, because he broke them on the daily basis. But he wasn’t as serious about most of them either. He was serious about this.
His boss sighed in defeat, putting her arms up in surrender, “Fine. Do what you have to.”
Hoseok didn’t especially like cats. Not at all actually. Not since his neighbor’s cat scratched his forearm when he was six.
But if adopting the three-legged kitten with fur as white as snow got Namjoon to visit every single day, maybe it was worth it.
(i can safely say this is simply a book of fluff. Enjoy!)
