Summary
Sequel to "Crowned with Flowers". Strange events begin to occur at the Red Keep after Brienne is gifted three petrified dragon eggs at her wedding feast to Jaime. Meanwhile to the far north, rangers go missing and sightings of the Others reach the Wall. Selwyn must prepare to lead the realm against the ultimate threat, but the Night King begins his attack on the living before moving south.

Summary
At the tourney at Harrenhal in 281ac, Barristan defeats Rhaegar in the final tilt and prevents 'the moment all the smiles died'. Unfortunately, that only shifts Rhaegar's focus from Lyanna to someone else. As Rhaegar considers how to fulfill the prophecy he believes associated with his line, a line born of House Targaryen and House Tarth emerges, and a rebellion ends with Selwyn Tarth on the throne. Ever the opportunist, Tywin Lannister plots to see his legacy on the throne, but as always, he isn't the only one plotting.

Jaime and Brienne served two terms under King Jon, and now they bring their children, Barristan, and Genna to Tarth where Selwyn is Lord Paramount of the Stormlands. Life is quite different on Tarth for the former Kingsguard members, but they're kind of celebrities now. Selwyn could do without their celebrity status.
