Summary
Raine was unnerved.
And okay, it was this place, this castle, this whole damn situation. They were living undercover in the Emperor’s castle, attended to by a sadistic plant witch and marching towards an event that would almost certainly mean the demise of everybody they ever loved or cared for, and pretending to be happy about the whole experience. None of that was a comfortable experience, and that was before…
…Before Hunter had gone missing. Before Eda and her sister had been captured by coven scouts. Before Eda’s kids had somehow become the most wanted criminals in all of the boiling isles.
-----------------------------------
After the episode Edge of the World, Luz and King are moved to a safe house. They're tired and scared and they miss Eda. Raine can't give them Eda, it's too risky to go rescue her now, but maybe they can offer the next best thing--childhood photos. -

Summary
A million questions were swirling around in Eda’s head. What happened? How did you two get in there? What did you see? Are you alright? Who delivered the extraction potion? Are we being watched? Is Belos coming for us? Are we in danger?
But there was no time to really think too hard about any of that. She had two traumatized children on her hands, and one of them was running into the forest.
“King? Hooty? Take Luz inside. Lock the doors, don’t open them for anybody unless you know that it’s me. Use that secret knock I taught you. I’m going to look for Blondie. I’ll be back as soon as I can. Owlbert? You’re with me.”
------------------------------------------------------
Set immediately after the episode 'Hollow Mind.' Eda follows Hunter into the forest.

Summary
Hunter moved so he could see the memories. It was easier if he thought of them as photographs; it made the whole idea easier to stomach. He tried not to look at Head Witch Raine Whispers, leader of the Bard Coven, who was laying on the damp stone floor in the middle of the room. Their face was frozen in horror as thin red vines encased their body, even snaking under their glasses and through their mint-coloured hair. Hunter shivered, it was all so grotesque. Instead, he focused on the memories, specifically the one that Darius had indicated. An old witch with a mass of grey hair and mismatched eyes was smiling out at them. Or maybe she wasn’t that old, Hunter wasn’t too sure. Everybody seemed old to a teenager. He did recognize her, though. That was…
