Since she was a kid, Adora has always known something's been...off. But maybe it was just because she was an orphan, or maybe it was the tremendous amount of pressures placed on her to excel in every area, or it was being raised by Shelia Weaver (aka Shadow Weaver as Catra has so kindly named her) as her foster mother. Either way, Adora knew something was wrong with her. But thankfully she is starting her first year at Brightmoon University with all of her best friends, and no Weaver. Adora's finally free. Taking this newfound freedom she decides to finally try and make sense of her own identity, and maybe finally figure out what exactly it is she has been struggling with her whole life.

While fighting at the Northern Reach, Catra attaches Entrapta's disc to She-Ra's sword. But things quickly get out of hand, and in her uncontrollable, infected state Adora makes a massive mistake. The only thing she can think to do afterwards is run, run far away from everyone and everything she's ever known. But when she ends up running into someone she never expected to see again.
