Summary
When Shen Qingqiu found a baby, just around the corner from the brothel, his first instinct was to ignore it. Whoever left the child obviously wasn’t being a very good parent, but Shen Qingqiu only spares the whole situation a few unsavory thoughts.
It’s easier to leave the baby behind when it’s not even crying.
He stares at the baby some more. The baby stares placidly back. It sighs, and Shen Qingqiu hates the muted leap of fear at how it sounds, like the child might not take the effort to draw another breath after this one is out.
“Fine,” Shen Qingqiu rolls his eyes, even though no conversation has transpired. “But don’t think I won’t put you back exactly where you came from.”

Shen Yuan could confidently say that the new gym he'd joined (against his will) was not his scene. He had no idea what he was doing, couldn't do any exercise without feeling like he was going to die, and was probably going to get beat up by the unfairly good looking employee who kept glaring at him.
Sadly, Shen Yuan knew he had to stick with it for a little longer. And who knows, maybe he'd even find a reason to stay?
