Summary
They apparently weren’t taking advantage of the courtesy pre boarding for military personnel. That was fine, they were still in boarding group B. The gate agent had made the announcement and Rooster- Bradley, hadn’t moved, eyes downcast, studying the green and blue patterned carpet beneath his feet as if it was the most interesting thing he had ever seen. That was fine, Jake didn’t need to constantly be thanked for his service. He just really fucking hoped they were able to get overhead bin space. Based on the crowd gathered at the gate, it was going to be a full flight and if he had to gate check his bag because Bradley didn’t want to pre board he was going to be pissed.
***
It was obvious to anyone with eyes that Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw had come back from the mission very much not okay.
Jake "Hangman" Seresin wanted to change that. Maverick had all but begged him to get Bradley out of California, and his family had been pestering him to visit...

Summary
“Young,” Sebastian releases a tight breath. He looks at Lewis with something akin to distress. “They’re so young.”
“So were you,” Lewis reminds, “when you started in the Academy.”
“Yeah,” Sebastian says. He was the youngest in the accepting class, and invincibility was a tangible thing. The instructors couldn’t outfly him. The world fell at his feet when he took to the air. Sebastian stares out at the armature in the bay. At this distance, he sees only part of the entire mecha. “But I was flying planes then, not giant machines meant for giant monsters.”
(The Jaeger Program hires former fighter pilot Sebastian Vettel. He meets Jaeger pilot hopeful Charles Leclerc.)

Summary
“Only four of you will pass into the heart of a Jaeger,” she says, voice clean and cold as stone. “And even then, the chances are that three of you will not live to see the next year. Do with that what you will.”
Andy stops before Joe, meets his eyes and does not flinch.
“But don’t you dare not give this fight anything less than your all,” she says.
From beyond her shoulder is Nicky, his face blank, so far removed from the feral fighting thing Joe tangled swords with last night. His impassivity bites through the bone of Joe more than anything ever has, or ever will.
The lightning-bright blood of a kaiju is child’s play to the fight in his eyes and this, not the beasts from the electric deep, will be my undoing.

Summary
When Buck said he was a "bartender" in "South America" what he actually meant was "stripper" in "Mexico."
And when Eddie said, "What's your problem?" what he actually meant was, "Is this about the time you gave me a lap dance?"
In other words, there's a few things the 118 doesn't know about Buck. Or Eddie. Or Buck and Eddie's relationship.

Summary
When the squad bets on how long it will take for Buck and Abby to get back together when she comes back to LA, Eddie is forced to reconsider keeping his feelings for Buck a secret.
“Thanks,” Eddie mumbles, hiding his face deep in his pillow, even if Buck can’t see him in the dark.
“What for?”
Leave it to Buck to be confused about something so obvious.
“Being you, idiot.”
“And again with the name calling,” he answers, content and sleepy.
Nights like this, Eddie feels like asking for a miracle.
But to the team, it wasn’t a matter of if Abby would take him back, but when. A matter of days.Series
