Summary
“Pray she lives.”
For three days, the future of both clans hangs in the balance of those words. Hashirama’s missive, a proposed ceasefire, lies unanswered on the table of Madara’s study. The man himself has all but abandoned the room to keep his sister’s side.
On the third day, her fever breaks, the colour returns to her cheeks, and the wound through her side ceases festering and begins to heal.

Summary
The marriage was unexpected - most things in war were.
When Sylvanas Windrunner calls for a treaty, it is with Teldrassil in her grasp and her people dying of starvation and exposure. With the Alliance facing a similar fate, the two factions were fighting a war no one could win.
But with innocents dying in the streets and no end in sight, peace had become less of a concept and more of a necessity. So Jaina had made the sacrifice, and tied herself to Sylvanas Windrunner in a rather permanent fashion. The effects of Theramore still ravaged her body and soul, and with nothing left to lose, she returns to the goal she had clutched so tightly to her chest. Peace on Azeroth.
She just has to avoid killing her wife, first.

Summary
Bizarrely, the first thing Katara felt was a wave of relief.
Zuko. Not Ozai. They just wanted her to marry Prince Zuko.
And then the horror of it washed over her, cold and harsh and insistent; an iron grip on her heart.
