Tony is sure (pretty sure) that the new guy James is a spy for a rival police captain, and he’s not going to let little things like a dimpled chin or a world-class ass or a great personality stand in the way of his investigation.
Well, he’ll try not to. His best friends certainly aren’t helping; Rhodey has washed his hands of the whole thing and Natasha is on the sidelines watching with popcorn. But he’s determined to figure out this spy thing and then he’ll be able to prove that James is up to something more nefarious than just being criminally good looking.

Bucky and Steve made a pact when they were young, that if they were both still single when they were thirty, they’d marry each other. Bucky could think of a lot of worse things than being married to his best friend. They already live together, the tax benefits would be pretty awesome, and he could stop worrying about growing old alone. That is, until he met Tony Stark. Yes, that Tony Stark. Rich, gorgeous, smart, fun, great in bed, and... actually interested in Bucky?
Tony didn’t really do dating. It was too depressing to waste his time with borderline stalkers, fortune hunters, people just crossing off their bucket lists, and worse. He’d pretty much resigned himself to a lifetime of one-night stands. And then he met Bucky. Hot, nerdy, relaxed, and utterly nonchalant about the whole “Tony Stark” package in an extremely appealing way. There was just one problem: Bucky was engaged to someone else.

Tony had managed to put off serving his mandatory five-year term with the Rift Guard for a long time, but it finally came due. Of course, as the head of Stark Industries and a mechanical genius, he was promised that he’d serve his time among the engineers, developing weapons and armor to help the rest of the Guard withstand the Rifters’ frequent attempts to reclaim the foothold they’d once held, beyond the Wall. He certainly didn’t expect to be shuffled in with the front-line grunts. Or to be partnered with -- what even the hell -- an actual Rifter.
It’s just a fairy tale that Rifters eat people. Right?

The old Ambassador to the fae has died, and it is time to choose a new Ambassador. Bucky accompanies Steve to the Choosing Grounds, thinking that little will come of the event aside from a story to pass on, some day, of the time they met the King of the Summerlands.
But King Howard chooses Steve for his new Ambassador, and in his dismay, Bucky does the unthinkable, pushing back against a member of the fae court. For this affront, he nearly loses his life -- until that life is claimed by another. Bucky awakens to find himself trapped in the Summerlands and bound in ways he doesn't fully understand to the half-human prince, Tony.
