Daniel wakes up hungover, sweaty, and with an annoyingly persistent crick in his neck.
The pain radiating down to his back can easily be attributed to the fact that he fell asleep on the couch again, but it takes him a few moments of disoriented blinking and wriggling to figure out why he’s feeling like he’s about to melt right out of the dress shirt he apparently never got around to taking off last night. The heavy arm draped across his waist is his first clue, quickly followed by the hot, humid breaths being steadily puffed against his neck.
