    Summary

They stay that way for a long time, Catra’s face tucked into Adora’s shoulder, Adora gently cradling Catra’s head. Adora is careful not to hug Catra too hard or make her feel restrained, anticipating the moment that Catra will start to pull away — but Catra doesn’t. She hangs on so tightly it hurts, her claws digging through Adora’s jacket and into her back, latching into her like she did when she was a kitten and didn’t know how much her claws could hurt. Adora tries not to wince, tries not to move a single muscle, worried that if she does the spell will break and Catra will struggle away, appalled at having shown weakness.

But Catra doesn’t let go. And so neither does Adora.

    Summary

It’s not that Kara doesn’t want to repair the broken bridge between Supergirl and Lena-- quite the opposite, in fact, but Lena had been excruciatingly clear with how she felt about Supergirl now. Kara had reeled from those words days after. They settled deep in her chest and crackle with pain every time she breathes. They are a grim reminder of what Kara had done, and what she continues to do. Mrs. Arias had been right; she could bury it deeper and deeper, but it would always come back to blow up in her face at triple the strength.
She’s caught between love and hate, and it’s a very odd position to be in.

This feels like a love letter to the show. It's awesome to read, and completely managed to get everything that was absolutely great about season 1 and shape it into 6 chapters of great story telling, angst and key points so much better than what we get from the actual show. No to mention the pacing, because it's written in such a beautiful and entertaining way that's impossible to put it down

"Lena," Kara asks, "what are you to me?"

Lena's heartbeat stutters. "You—you said there was no memory loss," she stammers. "Kara, what—what happened?"

"I absorbed my sun," Kara tells her calmly. "I became a God."

(In which Kara becomes a deity of protection, and it complicates things just a little. Featuring: a determined big sister, an endlessly supportive love interest, and some dad advice.)

This is the best I've ever seen someone wrote a God. It's great and something I'll definitely read again

"So you're uh - a little heavy handed," the boy says. "We can work on that." And then once, twice, he gently pats the mechanical arm quizzically observing him.

    The gesture is... good.

"Welcome to the world, buddy," the boy says. "You can call me Tony."
