“I overheard Flayn commenting on my affections for you earlier,” he continues. “To Manuela, of all people. To think that—well. She spoke more bluntly than I expected.”
A tiny puff of laughter escapes her, and he scowls.
“This is a serious matter,” he says, mustering the last dregs of his dignity.
She hums. “It is,” she agrees mildly. Their faces are very, very close.
Seteth and Byleth spend an evening together in his office. Unfortunately, his office lacks a bed. Fortunately, the chair, while cramped, fits two.

They’re both absolutely filthy but neither of them care, stripping off clothes and armor with desperate hands, distracting themselves from the task with hot, melting kisses.
Byleth sighs into his mouth. “Too many layers,” she murmurs, untying his sash.
“Delayed gratification?” he suggests, even as he grapples with his pauldron and cape, throwing them carelessly aside, too breathless to sound cheeky.
Byleth and Claude have spent far too much time apart for being so desperately in love as they are. Claude wants to remedy that.
Urban Fantasy AU. In which Hidan is a cultist, Kakuzu is an ancient eldritch horror, and Sakura is a doctor who is very, very tired and perhaps mildly intrigued. (Or, Hidan likes to get hurt, Kakuzu likes to do illegal things, and Sakura just wants people to stop bleeding all over the upholstery.)
“You can’t send me with him,” you hissed to Locus.
“And why is that?” he asked. You could imagine a single, unimpressed raised eyebrow under his helmet.
“I broke his wrist,” you said flatly. “And I’m pretty sure he’ll try to kill me.”
“Then break his other arm,” Locus replied dryly. “Any injuries he has are due to his own incompetence.”
You blinked. That hadn’t been the response you were expecting.
“Besides,” Locus continued, as if he hadn’t just suggested that you maim his partner, “we need you to unlock your suit for the information. I would expect that Felix’s love for money would override any immediate urge to incapacitate you.”
"I'm right here, assholes," Felix growled.
In a maybe-not-so-unfortunate turn of events, you are thrown into the partnership of the deadly mercenary duo Felix and Locus.
