Summary
There was only one reason why Camilo had stood aside and let it all fall apart, and it was because he promised. He promised that if this future came to pass, he would stand aside and let it happen. He had this protective flare in his head that screamed to beg Mirabel to stop what she was doing, to run from Casita and finally free herself from the emotional neglect and abuse that she experienced from her familia.
Yet, he didn't.
Mirabel had done her best to distance herself from her family, Camilo knew that, but nothing could change his anxiety, relax his fears. His silence would cause her to risk her life, and he knew that, but he swore he'd keep quiet. He promised to not tell, to let her find herself. She was una oruga, and she needed to become a mariposa.
Camilo needed to let her flourish, show her true worth, and so he would stand on the side and soak in the way his prima flourished, and he would be there to catch her if she fell.
---
Aka, Camilo knows about Bruno and the prophecy, and his anxiety fights with him about keeping his mouth shut or telling Mirabel the truth. In the process though, he ends up spilling out every last overwhelming feeling in his head. -

Abience; the urge to withdraw or avoid a situation
Camilo had been going nearly his whole life being told all these horrible things about Bruno, so who was this nervous little stranger that appeared in the rubble of Casita spewing out apologies? They certainly couldn't be the same person, but seeing no one else being confused was really starting to make him mad.

Camilo isn't too fond of Bruno and holding in all his anger really doesn't do him any good

Summary
Months after rebuilding Casita a huge storm hits the Encanto and Pepa can only do so much to stop it from hitting the village directly. The thing is despite her powers, she is not in full control of the weather that occurs naturally from time to time. A magic wonder is one thing, a force of nature something entirely different. Unfortunately, this explanation does nothing to sooth the rage of a grieving man who seeks to cause her the same pain he fells because of her.
At the same time Mirabel tries to figure out the new gift she received and how it is supposed to be used.

Summary
Only when Mirabel came to the river did she stop running. She crashed along the bank, sinking to her knees with her head bent and resting on her tightly closed fists before her. The stones were smooth and cool beneath her, the moss soft and forgiving, the gentle spray of the passing current against her skin reminding her of the loving touch of her family. It reminded her of the way her mother would bury her nose in Mirabel's curls when they hugged, how her father would hold her close and press tender kisses along her forehead. She was reminded of how soft Luisa had been when they'd embraced, how light she'd felt pressed to Isabela's side when they were young. How Antonio would snuggle close some nights, and the way her Abuela had used to cradle her and glide her hands over Mirabel's hair so adoringly before it all.
But that was all gone now, because of what she'd done. There'd be no more intimate touch, no comfort or secure presence. No more of her mother's cooking, of her parents' love, of her cousins or her sisters or her tìa and her tìo. No more miracles. No more Casita, no more home.
No more family.

Summary
“ As the pressure increased, he leaned more and more into his sarcastic, jokester attitude, using it to suppress any feelings of self-doubt and the nagging thought to over-analyze every interaction.
No, that couldn’t happen. Not when his Prima Mira needed comfort, his Abuela needed him to support her legacy, his family needing him to make them proud, or even serve the townsfolk. No, he had far too many things to take care of to let himself succumb to his bad habits, suppressing them more and more as he got older.
He would take care of himself, and be whatever, whoever his family needed at a moments notice.
It went on like this, until one day, the family’s camaleón could no longer take it. “
OR Anxious Camilo attempts to turn himself into someone new, someone better, para su familia.
