Their siblings still haven't met Dave, let alone Gracie, and Klaus can't bear the thought of introducing them, not now, under these circumstances, so they go alone.
But when the family reunion becomes complete with Five's sudden and bizarre arrival, not from 45 years in a wasteland, but directly from the lunch he ran away from 20 years ago, they realize things are going to get more complicated and they might not be able to put it off any longer. -

He is in an alleyway somewhere, full of dark shadows and the echo of traffic from the street. He tries to stay in the shadows so none of the passers-by happen to look down the alley way and see a naked teenager.
“Wait, what- Five?” Five spins towards the voice that comes from beside the dumpster.
“It is! It’s little Five.” A pale laughing face leans forwards out of the gloom, puffing merrily on a glowing cigarette. Five leans back. “Hey, no wait. It’s me, -shut up!- it’s Kl-Uh, Four.”
Life in the apocalypse is hard, but it's a little easier when you can occasionally eat a full meal in the past, and get some survival advice from your brother, or even an older version of yourself. The real agony is when you get to see your family and then get ripped away again.
How are you meant to stop the end of times, when you can't even stay in time?
Or: A bittersweet look at how Five's life in the apocalypse, and his mission to save his family, would be affected if he couldn't control his time-travelling.

To Five's horror, Diego goes down as Five takes down the last gunmen a split second too late.
Five immediately teleports beside Diego, crashing to his knees in his haste. His hands shake as he tentatively rolls his brother over.
"Shit, Diego -!"
When Diego opens his eyes. Relief surges through Five. Diego's alive. The amateurs must've missed -
Diego abruptly kisses Five.
"What the fuck?!" Various siblings exclaim, scattered around them in bewilderment.
Meanwhile, Diego just props himself up, confused. Looking as though he didn't know what the hell he did wrong.
