Summary
Two decades have passed since Vecna's rise to Godhood, and Vox Machina's answering punch in the teeth. Life has returned to normal. More or less. There's a new generation to look after, now, but Tal'Dorei may just need a little more help from some of its greatest protectors, even if most of them ARE retired, relatively speaking.. because there's trouble brewing in Exandria, and the Mighty Nein cannot handle it, alone!

Summary
"Caleb sprawls across from Essek on the plush couch, upholstered in soft, deep red, with a texture carefully chosen to be pleasant for both of its nightly residents. He’s half-horizontal, one leg flung atop the couch and the other tucked up against the back, reading a book amid his veritable nest of cushions, blankets, and one of the kitchen cats, equally sprawled out across the arm of the couch. His hair is loose and soft-looking, freshly washed and touseled dry, and Essek has most definitely not spent the last five minutes peeking over at him across the edge of his copy of a poetry anthology he’s read hundreds of times over."
Asking your friend/narrative mirror/crush to cuddle with you followed by gratuitous fluff with a fun addition of a Narratively Significant nightmare.

Summary
During their final descent into Aeor, the Mighty Nein learn that, when startled or suddenly frightened, drow might cast the 'darkness' spell involuntarily. Essek begrudgingly explains that it is a sort of vestigial defence mechanism, something that is generally considered a sign of immaturity or poor self-control.
Jester and Veth are (of course) very taken by this idea, and make it their personal mission to scare Essek enough to shock the reaction out of him.
It is neither Jester nor Veth who finally succeed in this endeavour.Mostly just a bit of fun, some light shadowgast at the end.

Summary
Traduzione di Paper,Ink by aeli_kindara

Summary
“I would like you to know me,” Caleb says.
It feels like a secret. Like the darkest part of him cracked open; all his months and years of hiding, of wrapping his arms and scratching the bindings, of not loving, not loving anything but an unkillable cat — it’s unraveling around him. He feels naked. He feels the way he did the first time Pumat Sol spelled him clean.
“I find that — I would like you to know me,” he says, again.

Summary
Caleb rubbed his forearms and pressed his lips tightly together. His forehead creased as some force seemed to drag his shoulders down. After a pause, he approached Essek. He started to reach a hand up, but drew it back before touching Essek’s forearm. “There is another place in the tower I need to show you,” Caleb said, his voice quieter. “I’ll take you there after dinner.”
Essek allowed himself to look up at Caleb’s face. The weight of sadness in Caleb’s eyes was heavier again. Essek longed to reach out and cup Caleb’s cheek, but he resisted the urge. You’ve caused him enough pain already. “After dinner then.”

Summary
It was apparent what Caleb’s room said about himself.
The Tower was a love letter to all of his friends. And regardless of all her best efforts… Caleb did not love himself.
Veth stood in the dark room, heart aching for her friend for far too long before she very quietly left, closing the door behind her.
She couldn’t let this stand. She had to do something.

Summary
COMPLETE
Over fifty days. Fifty long days and not a single word.
He’d gone through all the different scenarios within the first week. They were just that dumb to think that a fellow who’d come up out of the ground once mightn’t do it again – and okay, admittedly, he’d had help that time, but that was beside the point. Or maybe, there was something wrong with him and they couldn’t message him like before. Or maybe, if they hadn’t all died a horrible death in Shady Creek Run fighting to get back Jester and Yasha and Fjord, they’d all died a horrible death elsewhere, their rotting corpses unburied in a dark and cold cavern somewhere unknown, lost forever.
(Or maybe, whispers the darkest part of his heart every single night, the part whose voice he can’t recognize. Maybe they just don’t care.)
An oversized retelling of the Tomb Taker Arc from start to finish, with Molly in the driver's seat...or is he?

Summary
There is warmth in his gaze and the utmost patience. Essek had seen those eyes brighten when presented with a new puzzle to solve, narrow as he focuses on something, fondness when looking towards any other member of the Mighty Nein, and darken with determination when facing some trouble. He has also seen these eyes wide and empty, staring at nothing after having been torn through by the demonic wings of Lucien.
Essek tells himself that the anxiety he feels in the pit of his stomach has everything to do with the cats and the cats alone.

Summary
"Hypothetically," Essek began. "If there were a way to extend your lifespan so that it would match mine, do you think that is something you would want, or not? Please be honest."
Caleb mulled it over for a moment. "I do not think I would want that. Being a human and expecting the sort of lifespan humans typically have, it makes 600 more years seem overwhelming."
"I can understand that," Essek replied. He kissed Caleb's temple and continued talking before Caleb could stop him.
"It is settled then. We will make me into a human."
"Wie bitte?"

Summary
Walking in Eiselcross is pretty bad: the wind, cloying snow, the never-setting sun, Lucien - all pretty bad. Not only that, but Veth has decided that they all need to hear the entirety of one hundred green bottles as they march towards decidedly nowhere. Its not all bad though, Jester thinks, at least they can still find out things about Caduceus.
