Summary
Caitlyn just wanted a friend at her new school. Just one. She didn't really care who it was. One friend was better than none, which had been the situation at the private school she attended before the big move. And here she was. The transfer student from London, standing in a classroom full of American public school kids, in the middle of the fucking school year. The navy haired girl looked around, finding the only open seat next to a rather angry looking pink-haired girl. She'd have to do. Caitlyn stepped up to the seat, determined to make this girl with a buzz cut and seemingly permanent frown on her face, her first real friend.
OR
Caitlyn forces Vi to become friends with her when they are 14, which spirals into a deep friendship that leads them through high school (chapter 1 - 11) and into University (chapters 11 - 21). Neither dares confess their feelings for the other, out of fear that they might ruin the friendship. So they are just friends... who occasionally share a drunk kiss at a party. Nothing more than that...
(Basically: Caitlyn is the definition of gay panic and Vi is all over the place)

Viktor didn't believe in soulmates. He thought it was something for the rich and the wealthy. Not for people like him.
Despite these conflicting ideals all four had been born with soulmarks so they knew one way or another meeting their soulmate was a possibility. But they never expected to meet them at the induction ceremony at their new school.
They also never expected for things to go....so horribly wrong.

It's been 50 years since the Piltovans began their assimilation of Zaun. By now, almost every human hosts a Piltovan. Crime is nonexistent, peace is rampant. It's utopia. Except for the small pockets of rebel humans, Zaunites they call themselves, who are unhappy with this shift in society. With the lack of free will. These pockets of humanity have managed to evade Insertion and are constantly trying to find ways to take their world back.
One such Zaunite was named Vi. On a scavenging mission with Powder in Progress City, they were spotted by a group of enforcers and chased into an abandoned building. Next thing Vi knows, her body is no longer her own, and she plays host to a Piltovan named Caitlyn. Caitlyn herself is an Enforcer, a fact Vi resents. Her own body being used to hunt down her people, her friends. Caitlyn resents that she can't quell and silence Vi like she should be able to. Slowly, though, the two find, they may understand one another more than either of them realized. -

But when Caitlyn strolls back into the lanes and asks for her help, can Vi maintain her resolve to stay out of Piltover's politics? Or will she crumble at the first sight of an old friend?
