Taiyang Xiao Long wasn’t sure what to do anymore. Yang rages against the unfairness of the world: the loss of her mother twice over, his own letdowns as a father, all of the responsibilities she had to take on with Ruby and he knew, he knew that gods, she was just like him. Never allowed to be just a normal kid. She was also just like her. It was why he feared that as a last resort he would have to call in reinforcements...if he could trust that she wouldn’t make everything worse.
Raven Branwen had spent the last eighteen years rebuilding her world, scratching out a semblance of normalcy from the ashes of her old life. She thought her heart had hardened to such trivial things as emotion, connection, family...but no.
Nothing was ever that simple.

Summary
A collection of short scenes from the point of view of the mothers of RWBY. Each story covers their interactions (or lack thereof) with each of their children as well as the characters that shaped their lives. There are also a few chapters I decided to add from the father's POV as well. Each of the mothers have had their own strives; I wanted to capture their emotional narrative through their unique stories.
I was also inspired to add songs from the soundtrack as well as other allusions from fairy tales and how they tie into each of the story. Feel free to jump around each chapter since some are more "canon-compliant" than others and/or have a different tone.
