Summary

Summary
A story I did for a friend about what would happen if Geoffrey managed to cage Jonathan.
(Jonathan woke slowly, his vision blurred and his head throbbing. What had been in that syringe he'd been stabbed with? He didn't think he could hurt this much without being forced into the sunlight. His body still ached as he regained the ability to move. Placing his hands on the ground as he pushed himself into a sitting position. The ground felt strange under his hands. Odd, it felt like he was laying on metal. A sewer grate perhaps? Perhaps he had been thrown into the metal pillars. Wait those weren't pillars. They were bars!
With a surge of adrenaline Johnathan threw himself up and backwards. His back slammed into the side of the cage. His vision was starting to clear proving he was in a cage. No matter, he would just dissolve into the shadows. Johnathan looked around and saw shadows in the corner of the room. He jumped but instead of dissolving his face slammed into the bars. He heard a sickening crack as his nose broke. He clutched his now bleeding nose.
"That's not going to work leech." A very familiar voice called from the shadow. ")

“Doctor Reid. Please, I need you to stay awake. Please, just a little while.”
He opened his eyes again. It seemed he was on the sofa. The torn remnants of the sheets had been tucked around him. His gaze settled on the wide, tearful eyes and he understood. His Skal must be hungry.
“No, not that. Thank you, doctor.” His Skal whimpered softly, turning his face away from his master's torn wrist. His panting breath made a lie of the words and Jonathan woke a little more.
Just enough for the rage to seep in.

When hate reigns, love must be tenacious. The Sad Saint is not a doctor, to devise a cure. He is not a warrior, to capture the beasts. He is only a man...only a Skal... only himself.
Yet with God, all things are possible. So he will do what he can; he will try.

This is the continuation to my previous story, The Hunter's Descent. Now that we have a solid relationship between the hunter and his Ekon, it's time to mix in some new twists and challenges. About two years have passed since the events of the previous story for Geoffrey McCullum, and he had believed that the skal epidemic was under control since the defeat of the Disaster and that bloody queen. He was sorely wrong, though.
Again, I suck at summaries. But hey, reading to find out is the fun part. I don't like spoiling anything. I own nothing from Vampyr, just a nerdy fan of the game showing some appreciation for it. Thanks for reading. ~Aries

Nights like these, when the rage that burns hot in his veins threatens the tightly wound control he holds over himself, he seeks him out. The hunter is always wary when he appears, his dark mood palpable, but he always waits, just at the edges of the shadows, a silent request to be allowed closer.
McCullum always considers turning him away, wonders if this will be the night Reid allows the beast free and the Guard of Priwen will be forced to hunt him down or die trying. But he never does. -

After the good doctor spares him, Geoffrey McCullum comes to terms with the fact that perhaps the vampire physician is more than just a murderous bloodsucker. What could this mean for him? Follow through Geoffrey's perspective as he descends into much deeper and more confusing feelings for the Ekon.

Summary
Cavalier Ekon are systematically targeting members of the Guard, and any hunter is fair game. Geoffrey is attacked and brought to Pembroke Hospital, where he is treated by their trauma specialist: a new leech doctor.

Warm, luscious liquid permeated the gauze and soaked between his fingers. It smelled delicious and then some, made Jonathan want to melt to the floor and lick. He shook off this thought with effort. He shifted to apply pressure and gingerly lifted the man's neck and head to elevate them on a pillow. Jonathan kept count of Geoffrey's heartbeats for awhile to occupy his mind as his hand was coated in blood.
Jonathan crouched to inspect the wound and feel for where the blood was rising. It was bloody and raw, reminiscent of an animal bite and was nearly the size of his palm. Some of the damage was surface level, as if blunt teeth had scraped the skin back. The attacker had pierced a carotid artery in at least one or two places. There was no questioning which varietal of beast had done the damage: a beast like Jonathan had become.
