**CONTAINS MANGA SPOILERS**
Shoto Todoroki realized what was wrong with the Hero System when he was eight years old.
He realized that the heroes everyone looked up to were corrupt and greedy and not all who he thought they should be.
So when the time comes, he joins the league of villains to try and change the system.
Shoto remained in his childhood home with the intention of making it into the prestigious hero high school UA as a mole. He was going undercover to recruit students for the league.
But of course things never go to plan.
He was never supposed to catch feelings for one of his targets. An explosive and loud blonde who seemed unable to stay away from Shoto.
And suddenly, the more time Shoto spends with Katsuki, the more he struggles with carrying out his plan... because to do so, he has to hurt Katsuki.
And that becomes harder the more he falls.
Shoto had never regretted becoming a villain... until Katsuki. -

What Shouto comes to realize is that Izuku's tears don't mean weakness.
They symbolize his astounding, ferocious bravery. Izuku will throw himself wholeheartedly into any situation, no matter how much it hurts him, no matter how broken he comes out of it. If Izuku has even a fraction of a chance to do something to help someone else, he'll dive in, tears streaming down his freckled cheeks. He'll endure rejection, and heartbreak, and incredible pain, and never bat an eye at the expense to himself. Izuku will wear himself so thin that he frays at the edges, and stitch pieces of himself into the broken patches of others', and he'll smile while he does it.
He'll protect anyone, but no one has ever mustered as much severity to protect him in return.
This makes Shouto want to be the person who does that.
He finds, as he lays in bed thinking of Izuku's unending support and determination, that he wants to be the one that Izuku can turn to when he finally needs someone to care for HIM.In which Shouto finds that caring about Izuku is much too easy, and he's in way too deep.

The news had broken two months ago, one month before the start of the new semester. Number two hero Endeavour had been found dead, killed in his own home. His son had quickly been determined the number one suspect, and within a matter of hours the boy had been branded a villain.
Aizawa knows all of this, had seen the body of the former hero himself and the gruesome death that had befallen him. But he had also seen blood that wasn't Endeavour's staining the bed sheets, and heard of the isolation, training and dicipline the child had gone through from his sibblings.
And now, two months later, with All might standing outside his door with the new Todoroki villain in tow, Aizawa can't make himself think of the boy as anything other than a victim.
