    Summary

Carriers are those chosen by the Gods to either carry or father a child. They were either worshipped or seen as abominations to most. For as long as Patroclus could remember his father had forced him to conceal his status because it would bring shame to their house. His father may have been right. Patroclus was carrying the child of Achilles, the foretold Aristo Acharion.
Only he concealed this fact in fear of his lover and goddess mother's reactions. Achilles' one of shock and disgust or Thetis' one rage and retribution

Patroclus is a new RA. Achilles is his resident. And they definitely, totally shouldn't date, despite Achilles' stupidly perfect face and Patroclus' utter gay panic.

    Summary

Patroclus arrives on the salt-stained coasts of Phthia covered with the blood of a child. Chained, broken and muzzled in the belly of the palace, trapped for his crimes, he should count himself lucky the gods have let him live this long.

But when a boy enters his life with the sun woven through his hair and eyes that flicker with the green of spring leaves, he finds himself drawn, moth-like, towards the light.

In a world where creatures like Patroclus are considered cursed, and princes like Achilles are slowly being marched towards glorious war, can they find a way to live together?

    ———————

Or, Patroclus is cursed with the ability to turn into a wolf, yet despite all odds, ends up as Achilles’ closest companion. The plot loosely follows canon, but only in the broadest sense.

    Summary

Thetis has had three millennia to dwell upon the relationship of her Achilles and his Patroclus. In the end she decides that yes, Patroclus was good for Achilles.

When the fates decide to reincarnate her son in the twentieth century AD she decides that she will do everything in her power to ensure the lovers are reunited. Because if her son deserves anything it's happiness.

This is Thetis redemption fic because I really love her character in mythology and she's not quite the cold hearted bitch MM made her out to me :)

    Summary

The golden curve of his body glowed under the autumn leaves and his blade sliced through the air with unending grace.
Those deep grass green eyes that reflected the embers of the sun to me is all but a window to the very heart which must never be touched.

'The Greatest Warrior of Greece' they said. I could not breathe, my throat caught in the beauty of his dance. If in war he is but a dancer, then what is a warrior?

    Summary

Thetis knows her son has the power to burn the world. And without the gentle hands of Patroclus, he can finally ignite into what he was always meant to be.

And yet, as she watches her son’s life collapse before her eyes, she realises what the prophecy really meant.

It is not the death of Hector that kills Achilles, it is the death of Patroclus.

Or, Thetis puts aside her hatred of Patroclus for a second to stop him from dying. Patrochilles get the happy ending they deserve.

    Summary

Patroclus is not the Chosen One; he is not even sure he belongs in this world half the time. He knows the Chosen One and he's a boy just like himself—except he’s golden and perfect, he’s the star Quidditch player and he's the most powerful and gifted wizard in history. He’s destined to save all of magic someday. Patroclus kind of wants to hate him but Achilles makes it impossible.

The Harry Potter and Song of Achilles mashup you never knew you wanted (hopefully).

    Summary

A virgin sacrifice is required to ensure that Achilles's expedition to Troy reigns successful.

“What did you say?” He speaks through gritted teeth, punctuating every word. Peleus watches the exchange between his wife and son nervously, knowing better than to get involved when two immortal beings are at arms.

“In order for you to be revered for years to come, we must offer a sacrifice,” Thetis says simply, as if inquiring about the weather. “Patroclus has been chosen.”

    Summary

Rather than sending young Patroclus to Phthia, Menoetius sold his son to sex traffickers instead — but yet, Patroclus still found himself under Peleus’ rule.

In a world where Patroclus is Achilles concubine instead of a best friend, the two grow up very differently than from what we are used to.

Amongst assassination attempts, a war, and other obstacles, the boys learn to love another and explore their relationship.

But is love enough, when everyone else is against them?

The sea breeze is cool against my body. “He waits for you,” she hisses, as if irritated at this turn of events.

All at once I am inundated with an overwhelming feeling of happiness. Yes, I want to proclaim to the disbelieving heavens, he does wait for me. He does.

(or, two seaside nights Patroclus spends in memory—one before he has learned to love, and another where he has learned to share it.)
