“I don’t think that’s how it works.”
“Okay.” Atsushi eyes him.
“You have something to say?” Akutagawa asks, slamming his locker. The sharp line of Atsushi’s shoulders stiffen.
“You’re kind of an asshole, you know?” Atsushi blurts, eyes widening as if he can’t believe what he’s just said. “You don’t need to be that rude.”
Akutagawa scowls, “How does that concern you?”
AKA: Akutagawa is a theatre kid, Atsushi joins the tech staff only to discover he's a damn good actor. One problem - Akutagawa hates him.
The seven super-powered siblings we've come to know and love were never handed over to Reginald Hargreeves. Instead, through some suspicious circumstances, they crossed paths at Umbrella University, an internationally renowned institution with one impressive performing arts program. It's junior year, and they must face the evils of Shakespeare, pop/rock musicals, and a new threat lurking in the shadows. What force brought them all together? Will tech week tear them apart? Where the hell is the mic tape?!
(Looooong-abandoned Cheesy College Theatre Kid AU that was supposed to have actual overarching plot.)

“Heh, what if I wrote an eboy au?”
“That sure is an idea.”
“… Wait, but what if I actually wrote an eboy au?”
Or, the one where the author decides its 2020 and someone’s gotta do it.

Arthur Aguefort’s Adventuring Academy was rich with extracurriculars: bloodrush, the AV club, choir, academic competition, you name it, they did it. Every year, the Director of Drama and Head Professor of Bards, Director Thaldekka produced two plays, a one-act in the fall, and a two-act in the spring.
This year, Arthur Aguefort peered into the multiverse to collect knowledge and stumbled upon the most curious things. Using a great sum of his power, he projected the knowledge he’d found unto the population of Solace, and in result, Director Thaldekka made a slight adjustment to the theatre plans for the year. The Aguefort Adventuring Academy would produce a musical called Grease in the spring of the Bad Kids’ junior year.
An avid theatre kid, Jesper plays the lead in Ketterdam High's production of We Will Rock You, a jukebox musical featuring Queen's best songs. He's ecstatic, not only because he's never had such a huge role before, but because We Will Rock You is one of his favorite musicals. It's a dream come true, and he couldn't be happier—except that the rest of the cast isn't as enthusiastic as he is, and when he takes center stage, bullying from his classmates couldn't be worse for an openly bisexual black boy.
Devastated that he was forced to quit band, high school sophomore Wylan signs up for tech with encouragement from his best friend Kuwei—and it's certainly not also because joining tech means working on the same show as Jesper Fahey, the junior he's looked up to since he was a freshman. Still, there's a lot of things he has to keep secret, and he wonders what this will mean for him as he grows closer to this strange club of drama kids.

When Donghyuck is cast as Beatrice in his school’s production of Shakepeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, nothing could ruin his excitement–nothing except the fact that that his love interest will be portrayed by none other than his least favorite person in the theatre department: Mark Lee
Mark Lee loves performing. He loves Shakespeare. He loves the thrill of being on stage. He does NOT love having to ‘fall in love’ with the most annoying person he knows- even if it is just an act.
Long tech rehearsals are a relief to Jeno. They give him somewhere to be on weekends other than his dad’s house, and he’d much rather be hauling around a heavy set piece than the weight of his own secrets.
Jaemin wants two things from this school year: 1. He wants Mark and Donghyuck to settle whatever the hell is going on between them and leave him in peace, and 2. He wants to finally ask that hot stage crew boy on a date.

the theatre kid au my theatre kid self didn't know i needed (right there with you mark, newsies is my favourite musical too)
Pretty nomin-centric in general. Modern retelling of Much Ado About Nothing, Mark is the theatre department’s golden child and Donghyuck is the classic theatre kid. They hate each other - no one knows why.
