    After alpha and ruler of Imladris, Elrond loses his wife and children in a horrific attack on the road between Imladris and Lothlorien, Elrond is lost to his grief and pain. A council of the wise ones and rulers of Middle-Earth come up with a plan to 1) help their friend recover and 2) secure a better future for Middle-Earth.

    King Thranduil offers his omega son, Prince Legolas of Mirkwood, in an arranged marriage to meet both of these needs with some private wishes of his own. His son has never been the same since he returned home from where he grew up in the North, at the Temple of the Pearl-- and Thranduil wants to see his son happy again.

    Set after the Battle of the Five Armies, Legolas enters the marriage in an attempt to avoid ever being sent back there to learn his place yet again. Elrond enters the marriage because Galadriel tells him its for the greater good. Not the best reasons to marry a complete stranger, but not the worse reasons either. Can the two of them navigate this new, unknown territory and create a bond that will help them both heal? Or will they fail and be forever torn apart?

    Thranduil has become a shell of the person he once was. Too much loss has occurred for him to be anything other than cold and aloof, scared that anyone that came close to him would be lost to him. It seems that he is even doomed to lose his kingdom, as dark creatures he can’t explain overrun his borders and slaughter his guards.

    Selythgaren is a broken creature, twisted beyond the elf she once was. A curse put upon her by dark forces has turned her into a vampire. Horrified by what she has become, she has hidden away in the deep, sheltered forest of Mirkwood. Her resistance to giving in to what she is causes her hunger to rage out of control and slaughter any who come near.

    When these two meet again and old memories are brought to the forefront, can these two traumatized people find a way to heal? Or will they devolve to old habits and destroy not only each other but themselves?

    **As a heads up, I am using Castlevania vampire lore simply cause it's my favorite. I'm also going to try to update this either every week or every other week but please be patient with me! This is the first fanfic I've written in a while so hopefully you enjoy!
