Kronos was called the crooked one for good reason.
Assaulting Olympus when a prophecy, despite what the Fates say, was rigged against him? Merely a ruse to something greater.
No, with Gaea rising and the emperors of old waiting in the wings, it was not the opportune time to take Olympus. Let them think that they had vanquished him. Let them enjoy their false victory. Let his children and their offspring defeat the opposition for him, clearing a path for his ascension.
But for now, he will march willingly to his defeat. As with the (unwilling) assistance of the child of Hermes, two of the three cyclopes that forged weapons of the Olympians, his most trusted titans, and an unfulfilled prophecy, Olympus will be his.
It's only a matter of time...

When the Minotaur is killed by demigods, Percy can't just idly sit by and wait at Camp until his mate returns from Tartarus. They have children to take care of, a camp to defend and damn it he wants to get laid too. Who knows how long it would take Asterion to reform, after all. Weeks? Months?
No, no. Percy might have settled with his new life, but deep down he's still a hero so he convinces Medusa and Circe to go on a quest to Tartarus to bring back his mate.

Luke and Percy accidentally sent Medusa's sisters who were after them into the world of Fairy Tail, and they have to retrace their steps to locate them and send them back to Tartarus, before the gorgons wreck more havoc and cause more misfortune. They met Team Natsu while fighting with the gorgons and they made introductions?
Situated after the Percy Jackson and the Olympians book series, and before the Heroes of Olympus. But Luke became good in the end, and did not die.

The Minotaur left Percy alone for a while, but he left Lycaon with the boy to take care and protect the Minotaur's pet. If he would have known that he couldn't trust Lycaon, he would have taken Percy with him right from the start, really.
After all, he had only left to find the summer camp for monster-children to keep their kids and his mate save. But things apparently never really work out the way the Minotaur wants... or do they?
