    Summary

Limping home from the Briar Patch following Ru'afo's brazen attack on their ship, the crew of the Enterprise are given one last mission to fulfill: convince the Dominion-aligned Son'a stationed on Devos II that they should return home to Ba'ku. The only problem is that there aren't any Son'a to be found on Devos II; the ketracel-white facility they had been running for the Founders has been destroyed, and there are no survivors.

Not only that but — less than a month after his last repair visit in Engineering — Data has been struck down by a damaging electromagnetic pulse while his Away team investigates the empty facility...and he's most definitely not himself when he reawakens...

On nearby Deep Space Nine, the crew lays over to get to the bottom of the mysteries that have unfolded within sight of the Dominion War front. They don't know it but they've begun a race against time: the Dominion are closing in on the other side of the Cardassian border, a Vorta commander and her Jem'Hadar crew are lying in wait for them, and the machinations of an old foe have set into motion a dastardly plot to destroy Data's newfound happiness.

Bashir nodded and set his glass of sparkling springwine back on the table. Kira, O’Brien, and Odo all looked at him curiously.

“I’ve told you how and why I became an augment,” he said, “but not how the Federation government found out about it.”

    Summary

Crossposted, unsurprisingly. Feedback is much appreciated, as long as it's constructive.

Most of these will involve Marvel/the MCU, DC, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Star Trek, or Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I'm a sucker for canon divergence, both reading and creating, especially when the train actually goes off the rails; it can be easy to get into the habit of 'this is how X event would have looked with the changes I introduced earlier' even when those changes really mean that X event shouldn't have happened at all, and the story ends up being a rehash of canon with a couple of extra flairs rather than an exploration of the core idea. Self-insertion can make that very easy, along with Peggy Sues. In the same vein, introducing a character or group from one setting into another almost always creates an outside-context problem with potentially fascinating results, and many abilities can do the same when transplanted into a new or existing character.

    Summary

Garak pulls back, his heart pounding entirely too hard for a simple kiss.

"You should get back to sleep," he says, fingers brushing Julian's cheekbone. "I can see the dark circles under your eyes."

"You're right, I should." Nimble fingers pulling at Garak's tunic. "But what kind of alien bedwarmer would I be if I didn't attend to my duties?"

"I feel quite warm as it is," Garak replies. "But I suppose I can make certain allowances, considering your insatiable human libido. It's hardly your fault."

“My dear—Doctor Bashir,” Garak begins. “I don’t wish to offend you, and I certainly never intended to mislead you.”

“Really.” Julian’s voice is tight now. “Really.”

“I have never—desired a more intimate relationship with you.”

“Five years of lunches and holosuite dates and book recommendations and that fitting today, when you had me undress so that you could put your hands all over me, and you never intended to mislead me.”

    Summary

On the east coast of the US, there is a small town called Anywhere, where some of our favorite fictional characters keep washing up on the beach, often injured, with no memory of where they came from and who they are, the only clues to their past identities being the clothes they washed up in, their own names, and the strange feelings and dreams they occasionally have. Soon enough, they settle into their new life, but the questions still remain: who were they? And why are they here?

You're a medic working at DS9 as the Dominion War rages on, feeling disheartened and isolated when you accidentally bump into a particular high-ranking Romulan visitor to the station. Fifteen years later, Romulus has been destroyed, you now work at a hospital, and an eerily familiar face walks through your doors.

    Summary

Julian has always been a dedicated doctor, willing to go the distance to save lives. After being abducted by a version of Sloan and subjected to a series of simulations in which he was forced to save the lives of his friends, Julian returns to Deep Space Nine, eager and anxious to prove he's fine and still that man--the dedicated doctor who'd do whatever it takes to save his patients, no matter the cost to himself. Please mind the tags; the subject matter is dark and the story is a ride.

This story takes place post-canon, between Chapter 3 and the epilogue of my earlier story "More Than One Way to Die." Though not strictly necessary, you may want to read that story to understand Julian's backstory and motivations here. It's story two in a series of stories; there will be more to come that will expand on ideas introduced here.

    Summary

Julian Bashir was already preparing himself to be exiled from the Federation, when Starfleet found out about his deepest secret. He was already preparing to be put into a prison-like facility alongside other live experiments, or to run away from Federation space and never come back.
Instead, he is recruited by Starfleet Intelligence to spy on Terok Nor, a Cardassian space station in Bajor’s orbit.

Elim Garak, wunderkind of the Obsidian Order, has always considered himself immune to love. When he goes undercover on Terok Nor, he is proven wrong.

    Summary

This entire volume covers only one episode: Wrongs Darker than Death or Night.

As I promised in the very beginning, this fic only gets better and better. What this volume contains will make all the previous reading and waiting worth it. The next volume, which I am working on, will finally reveal secret plot points I've been hinting at since Volume 2.

    Epicness abounds.
