Summary
The Crown Prince disrespected the Fire Lord (long may He reign) and forfeited an Agni Kai. Ever just and merciful, the Fire Lord forgave His loyal son and elected to send him to the colonies where he would learn respect and governance.
Alas, the Crown Prince never reached his destination. On the way to Yu Dao, the dishonorable Earth Kingdom and its allied Water Savages slaughtered the poor young prince and his crew, dooming their ship to the heathen deity La. Thus, for this great act of barbarism and provocation toward the Children of Agni, the Earth Kingdom and the Water Savages must suffer the Fire Nation’s wrath a millionfold.
This is the official account told by the Fire Lord, recorded by his scribes, fed to his people, and spat on his enemies.
A young scribe in Gaoling knows a different story.
(Or the Scribe Zuko AU where Zuko deals with his issues™ through tons of writing, Toph smashes her parents’ expectations in between reading lessons, Iroh brews the best tea in Gaoling while running a secret Pai Sho club, and Azula indulges in cryptic tales by a treasonous author.)

Summary
Zuko doesn't know what's going on. He's looking for his uncle, and doing Jet's laundry, and trying not to think about why he's woken up in random fields twice (and also how he's not dead, after that one time).
Or: Zuko's a phoenix. He doesn't know it, though.

Summary
"That's the Fire Nation Princess Azula," Jin says, voice hard. "Her team is also competing in the volleyball tournament, we'd better stay out of her way." "That might be, uh, difficult," Song whispers. The three of them are heading towards Song, Zuko, and Jin. "Why is she coming over here?"
"She's my sister," Zuko mumbles out of the side of his mouth.
"What?" Jin shouts.

Summary
Zuko and his relationship with tea over the years
“The perfect tea requires a lower temperature and a softer flame; Too hot and you will scald the tea. Let it steep for too long and the tea will be too bitter. That is why patience and attention is so important when firebending and also when brewing.”
“I never realized how much care went into making tea,” Zuko muttered in awe, staring into the depths of his cup. “Or into firebending.”

Summary
Rough hands grasped Zuko's arms and hauled him to his feet, pulling his hands back and clamping something cold around his wrists. He gasped as the fires within him froze, the temperature in his hands immediately dropping as his chi thrashed uselessly against the metal. His body was unresponsive as the soldiers dragged him back towards the ship, but he managed to meet his uncle's eyes and shake his head.
Go.AU after Book 2 episode 1. Azula succeeds in capturing Zuko, but Iroh escapes her grasp. The banished prince soon realises exactly how unwelcome he is amongst both the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom, to devastating consequences. Meanwhile, with his nephew's life on the line, Iroh turns to his last hope of help: the Avatar.

Summary
Zuko breathes in, the heat of the desert burns his nose and lungs and he only just holds back a heaving cough at the sensation. If he was a firebender, he wouldn’t have this problem, he thinks. If he was a firebender, his father wouldn’t have hurt him, wouldn’t have burned him, wouldn’t have torn him away from his home, his crown.
“It’s okay, Prince Zuko,” Iroh says to him, but Zuko knows it’s not. He’s lost everything, but now he knows that he never had it in the first place.

Summary
The "new era of love and peace" has begun. Team Avatar scatters to be where they're needed in the postwar world. By treaty agreement, the Fire Nation colonies are to be returned to the Earth Kingdom and all Fire Nation subjects repatriated to the homeland—harmony among the nations will be restored, by sanction of the Avatar. But the Gaang finds that peace is sometimes messier than war. Love can mean many things. And harmony may not be found where they think it will.
