Summary
After escaping from a spoiled life under the thumb of the infamous Vantas crime family, Karkat Vantas ends up stuck in a battle he's not sure he belongs in, and a world he never knew existed. From the protective isolation of his father, he falls straight into the arms of the Strider brothers, a pair of mutants, known as Bloodseekers. His life is now in the hands of two overpowered mercenaries, both of whom have racked up a formidable army of bodies in their wake, yet, somehow, all of this seems better than the dull monotony of what he's left behind.

That's how Karkat Vantas, professional coward, fifteen years old, ends up running scared into Dave Strider's house in the middle of the night - and summarily getting hit by a controller. And that's how Vriska keeps insisting - no matter what - she never *really* meant for anybody to get hurt.

One can imagine the infinite possibilities! Anything stretching from the regular game of SBURB to a universe where everyone except John is a cat and he just so happens to be allergic to cats. Basically, everything happens one way or another.
With that idea in mind, there is also a universe where Homestuck is fictional.
As it turns out, with infinite possibilities and infinite timelines, there is always room for Murphy's Law.
If anything can go wrong, it will.
Dave lives with Dirk and Bro in a small apartment in Houston Texas where he discovers a Webcomic. Things go downhill very quickly.

Then one day he was asked if he had ever had "done" a troll.
This led him down a path filled with shock, anguish, disturbing sights and bitter truths. But it also eventually led him to deep friendships, genuine happiness, a loving family and a self completing feeling of heroism.
It also led to him saving generations of trolls who were treated as "pets" or slaves on earth. But that was a side benefit.
