Summary
“Do you think Aang would want to come over for pizza?”
Sokka frowned.
“I don't think that's such a good idea, baby.”
“Oh,” Zuko said. He pressed miserably against the window, like he wanted to fall through onto the icy road and disappear.
“Baby, please don't be sad. All I mean is, Aang's vegan, right?”
Zuko stared at him.
“So when we have him over,” Sokka continued, stopping at the light, “we should probably make cheeseless pizza ourselves. Or maybe we can do a nice pasta salad. He might even like some of the traditional stuff Gran-Gran used to make—not the caribou, obviously, but the sea-prunes could—”
Zuko yanked him in and hugged hard. “Shut up,” he said.
“Baby,” Sokka wheezed. “If I can't get some air I'm going to crash us into a snowbank.”
“You're an idiot,” he said happily. “We're both idiots.”

Summary
As Zuko put on more weight, the sex just kept getting better. He seemed to be turned on by everything lately.
They could be out the door on the way to the dentist, and Zuko would get a funny look in his eyes, watching Sokka zip up his coat. They were in a CVS—*a CVS*—and Zuko suddenly got this intense expression, like he wasn’t really comparing generic and name-brand cough drops after all. He pressed Sokka against him, resting his hand possessively at the small of Sokka’s back.
“Hey sweetheart,” Sokka said. “Something I can help you with?”
“Nothing legal in public,” Zuko murmured, stroking Sokka’s hips.

This one's smutty, so forewarned is forearmed and all that. All consensual and affectionate.

Summary
“I hated lacrosse,” he said miserably. “My dad had me enrolled in anything that looked athletic and violent. If homicide had been a Division I sport…”
“What did Azula do?” Sokka teased. “Rugby?”
Zuko frowned.
“It didn't matter if Azula did sports. Girls could be…" He hesitated. “Soft. I couldn't be soft.”
His hand dropped absently to his stomach.
“And now I’m soft,” he said.

Summary
“Hey,” he said. “Can I borrow your swim shorts?”
Sokka peeked his head out the door. Zuko was looking down, rubbing the back of his head. His dark hair fell over his face.
“I was trying mine on and I think I outgrew them.”
Well, fuck.
“Um,” Sokka said.
“So I thought—I mean, if it makes you feel uncomfortable, I can go shopping and we can put off the beach until—”
“You can get in my shorts anytime,” Sokka said.
Paralyzing silence.
“Uh,” Zuko said. “Okay.”

Summary
After leaving Yon Rha’s village, Zuko finds a way to draw Katara out of her distress, and she begins to seek out his company. In late night conversations, they discover themselves and each other.
This story picks up after The Southern Raiders and carries through and past the series—at some point in the middle, leaving canon behind. Because these two intense kids deserve the chance to feel known, banter with a worthy opponent, examine the legacy of the world they’re fighting for, and—of course—fall in love.
