4 Works in Snowfall (Wings of Fire)
Talons of power and kingdom down low,
Search through the tunnels for scales that glow.
The broken wood structures of passing time,
Keep an eye out for lurking in mines.
High in the clouds a kingdom took form,
Determination leads to the eye of the storm.
Fly far away from the land you knew,
Take a close look at the regal statue.
For scales of ice look at the night sky,
They shall be born under the orb up high.
For talons of flame meet greater heights,
Something is different about their eyes.
For a stinging aid hunt no more,
The wing of dragons gather for tour.
For glowing stripes tread royal turf,
Dig down below to fight the surf.
For night the imperial hides in shadows,
The giveaway are their scales of snow.
Hatred and war brew,
Uprising to bring the new.
Floods bringing one here,
The arrival shall be timed by the seer.
To find the hidden follow the stars,
Look for the dragon by the name of Scars.
Set five years after the end of book ten (third arc not mentioned because it hasn't ended yet). With the destruction of Lagras, a Mudwing/Seawing village, tensions rise as each tribe accuses the other of the attack. A secret group of assassins creep closer and closer to Queen Thorn.
And six new dragonets are invited to Jade Mountain Academy.
In a different world, things unfold the wrong way. Certain dragons never go to where they were meant to be.
Winter has been on Snowfall's council for nearly a year when news arrives. The tribes are on the brink of war, and that means an alliance is needed. An alliance with the largest kingdom on the continent...The Kingdom of Sand.
There's a certain dragon in that kingdom who's fate is intertwined with Winter's, whether he likes it or not.
There's a certain destiny planned for them both, sparked into action by a simple mistake.
War is on the rise, tension is high, and not everything is what it seems within the seven kingdoms.
Short fic about Darkstalker's IceWing plague and it's consequences, because I feel it was kind of glossed over by both the fandom and by canon, the latter especially in Jerboa's behavior towards Snowfall in an epilogue of the later books. Standalone, intentionally brief.
