Summary
Izzy’s world shattered when Edward chose Bonnet over him. To add salt into wounds, Ed left his big successful architecture firm ‘Blackbeard Studio’ to play with Bonnet, forcing Izzy to keep the gears running on his own. Izzy is on the verge of breakdown when he meets a charming street musician that shows him that maybe there’s more to life than his dedication to a man who doesn’t appreciate him.

Basically, Izzy is 15 and signs up for a small community theater club. Edward and Jack are his divorced parents and it's Jack who signs him up but he signs Izzy up under his deadname. Edward goes to the first meeting to clear things up with Stede and they fall in love. Also, Ed yells at Jack and all the members of the Revenge Playhouse adopt Izzy as their little brother. It's great.

Summary
Or, four pirates walk into a bar.Stede can't believe he's identifying with Izzy, who is attempting to disappear into the shadows. The man seems to sense this uneasy camaraderie, and, in a rare feat, actually glances over at Stede and grimaces. It's not a Fuck You Stede Bonnet grimace, it's more of a Can You Believe This Shit sort of thing.
Stede, for his part, leans in and whispers, "Is it always like this?"
Izzy nods, grimly, "Bloody pissing contest every time."
Sam Bellamy brings out the worst in Edward Teach, and vice versa. Izzy has no idea he's in the middle of the world's ugliest love triangle. It isn't even a triangle. Sam doesn't love him, and he doesn't love Sam. Izzy loves Ed, and Ed loves him, but that's not a good thing. Stede has only the barest idea of what's going on, but he's joining the triangle anyway.
They talk it out, with varying degrees of success.

After a long and perilous journey to reunite Ed and Stede, Izzy thinks he's deserved some time to just be a normal fucking pirate. Unfortunately (for him), life has a way of throwing wrenches into the cogs of even the simplest plans.
