However, when Kaeya winds up in a pinch with Klee and his workload, he dreads having to ask Diluc for his assistance after Albedo claims he trusted Diluc with Klee, after learning that his other trusted coworkers were too busy for the job.

Kaeya Alberich is indeed a man who can be described as "more of what meets the eye", despite all of that, aren't you curious of the build-up of what makes him "Kaeya"?
Though, strangely, as remarkable as he has built himself to be, surrounded with such thoughts that he can use in the future, and especially the secrets that he needs to be kept hidden at all times. A question pops in, "How is someone able to hold themselves that far without spilling anything?". If you wish to know, an answer can be given.
But before we head in to see what layers this man wrapped himself with, one must consider the factor of his development, including those around him. After all, people can have a certain effect for certain people depending on the situation laid before them. Meaning, we get to know those people as well.

When the crying stops, Kaeya’s own face feels damp. He hasn’t made a sound, but he’s felt himself fall apart in real time- it hurts like nothing he’s ever felt, being stuck in place, when all he really wants to do is hold his old brother tight. It’s agony- it’s the worst thing he’ll ever know.
So when Diluc says it, it doesn’t quite sink in. He’s still grieving, after all- he’s struggling to focus on anything but his bleeding heart, and the words ricochet.
